It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Edward Comstock, who died on July 2 at 4:55 a.m. at the age of 57. Brian leaves his beloved wife, Alba Bauset, and his children, Geoffrey Comstock, Jessica Bradley, Derrick Adkins (Becky), and Zachary Adkins (Alicia).

Brian will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering desire to make the people he loved happy. He found joy in giving joy, and nothing meant more to him than seeing his family smile. Music was one of Brian's greatest passions. It never seemed to matter the style or genre. If it sounded good, he loved it. In his younger years, he dreamed of being a rock star and spent countless hours behind a drum kit, carrying that love of music with him throughout his life. Whether listening to an old favorite, discovering something new, or sharing a song with someone he loved, music was always a part of who he was. He was a man of many hobbies and endless curiosity. He loved model trains, building and flying RC airplanes, caring for fish tanks, and just about anything that kept his hands busy or challenged his mind.

He found satisfaction in creating, building, and learning, and he brought that same passion into every project he took on. Those who were close to Brian know what it was like to sit with him long after everyone else had gone to bed. They know what it was like to be drawn into deep, meaningful conversations where every thought was welcomed and every opinion was treated with genuine curiosity and respect, no matter how unfinished, complicated, or uncertain it might have been.

He had a rare gift for making people feel heard. Many nights were spent talking beneath the stars, wondering about philosophy, faith, and God, or reflecting on what this beautiful little rock drifting through the Milky Way means in the grand story of the universe.

Brian never claimed to have all the answers. He simply loved asking the questions and inviting others to wonder alongside him. Above all else, Brian was a devoted husband and an extraordinary father. He loved to play, to laugh, and to spend time with his family. He gave his love freely and without condition, making those around him feel seen, supported, and cherished. To know Brian was to know someone who cared deeply and loved completely.

Brian's passing came far too soon. At only 57 years old, there were still countless conversations to have, songs to discover, projects to build, and nights beneath the stars that deserved to be shared. Yet through the hardest chapter of his life, he met each day with courage and determination. When the fight became more than anyone should have to bear, he faced the end with remarkable dignity. In the end, Brian made one final choice that was wholly his own. He met death with the same quiet resolve that carried him throughout his life.

Brian Comstock passed away July 2, 2026. He did not leave this world alone. With his beloved wife, Alba, by his side and his son, Geoffrey, holding his hand, he spent his final moments surrounded by love. It was there, in the company of the people who meant the most to him, that he found his peace.

His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his kindness, laughter, curiosity, and love will continue to live on through his family and everyone fortunate enough to have known him. As a young man, Brian dreamed of being a rock star. Though life led him down a different path, he became something even greater to those who loved him. He was a devoted husband, an extraordinary father, a loyal friend, and the steady rhythm that kept us all moving toward better, more beautiful things. He made us proud every single day. For us, he never stopped being a rock star. Brian Edward Comstock will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Campbell Aman Funeral Home at 4 PM. Visitation will be held Friday, July 10 from 6-8 PM at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.
