Jeanine Kay Kermeen, 71 of Council Bluffs, passed away July 12, 2026, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, due to a brief illness. Private graveside services will be held in the Blair Cemetery with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.

Jeanine was born on September 19, 1954, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Janet (Cox) Kermeen. She was a graduate of West Harrison High School in Mondamin, Iowa. Jeanine was a longtime resident of Blair before moving to Council Bluffs in 2013. She had a career of 33 years at Wilkinson's/D&W Fine Pack in Fort Calhoun, working in the quality control department. Jeanine enjoyed playing free online slots and diamond art painting. She will always be remembered for having a smile on her face and a positive attitude no matter the situation.

She leaves her siblings; brother James "Jim" (Donella) Kermeen, sister Debra Hobbs, sister-in-law Mona Kermeen, uncle Grant Nihsen, nieces and nephews; Daniel (Matty) Kermeen, Jeremy Mumm, Allison (Nick) Leininger, Kristen Kermeen, Samantha (Dominck) Witcher, Thomas Kyle and Nicholas Kyle, great-nieces and nephews; Charlotte and Clayton Kermeen, Lainey Leininger, Zeke, Emersyn and Easton Witcher, DeVonne Doyle and McKenzie Brown, along with many cousins and friends.
