Mrs. Louise Klassen, an old resident of this vicinity, died May 24 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Otto Assmussen, after an illness dating from last December.

Louise Schultz was born February 15, 1846 in Shoenberg, Germany. She was married in 1971 to Joachim Klassen, and the family emigrated to America in 1888, locating in this county. The deceased leaves four children, Henry F. Klassen, August Klassen, Mary Asmussen and Lena Benck, all residing in this vicinity. She also leaves a brother, Ludwig C. Schultz, of Calhoun, and a sister, Louise Schultz, residing in Ohio.

Mrs. Klassen was highly esteemed by her large circle of acquaintances, who realize in her passing away the loss of a true friend and helpful neighbor.

Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon, Rev. Grohn officiating, and burial was made in the Fort Calhoun cemetery beside the body of her husband, who died four years ago.
