Kathryn M. "Kathie" Timm, 96, of Fremont, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Nye Legacy in Fremont.

Funeral service will be at 11 A.M., Friday, August 14, 2026 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Private burial will take place at the Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, Nebraska.

Kathryn “Kathie” M. Timm, 96, of Fremont, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Nye Legacy in Fremont.

Kathie was born April 8, 1930, in Fremont, Nebraska, to Albert “Ace” and Ethel(Morgan) Hofeldt. She grew up south of Fremont in the Englewood area.

On May 4, 1946, Kathie married Paul “Pete” Timm Jr. at Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle, Nebraska. Together they made their home in the Kennard, Arlington, and West Point areas, where they farmed and raised their family. Pete preceded her in death on September 14, 2004.

Kathie was a talented and creative woman who could seemingly grow anything. She had a lifelong love of gardening, especially flowers, fruits, and vegetables that Kathie and Pete sold at local farmers markets for many years. She also enjoyed oil painting, sewing, canning, baking and cooking. She was especially known for her pies, including her famous apple pies. She enjoyed deer hunting and took pride in making clothing and other items for her family.

Kathie shared her love of art and gardening with others as well. She gave lessons through Northeast Community College and served as an art judge at fairs. She was also active in the Methodist Church in West Point and served a short time as president of the Ladies Circle.

She will be remembered by her children, Steve (Pat) Timm of Texas; Nancy (Tom) Cady of Blair, Nebraska; Debbie (Al) Larsen of Avoca, Nebraska; Pam (Warren) Holmes of Omaha, Nebraska; and LuAnn (Ray) Burgess of The Woodlands, Texas; sister, Barbara Timm of Fremont; and 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Kathie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete; three brothers; and grandchildren, Angela Harney, Mandy Larsen, Tyler Timm, and Cory Timm.

Funeral service will be at 11 A.M., Friday, August 14, 2026 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Private burial will take place at the Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, Nebraska.
