Eugene Morrow is Killed in Action

Eugene C. Morrow, 28, of Marshfield, Oregon, who came to Blair in May 1941, for a six-week visit with his foster uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Campbell, has been killed in action with the navy, it has been learned. Morrow had many acquaintances in Blair.

“Gene” enlisted in the navy last December and for a time was stationed at Pearl Harbor before being assigned to dental corps duty aboard a cruiser.

He was the foster son of W. O. Campbell, Marshfield mortician and brother of J. E. Campbell and had made his home in Marshfield with Mr. Campbell for 13 years.
