Gene M. Olson, 75

Gene Olson, 75, of Blair, died Monday, May 17, 1999 at Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

Services were Thursday, May 20, at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Gene M. Olson was born July 10, 1923, to Martin and S. Lucille (Mettlen) Olson in Sioux City, Iowa. He grew up in Dixon County and served in the Air Force during World War II.

On Feb. 6, 1954, he married Norma Rowe.

He farmed in the DeSoto area and was an artificial inseminator for the National Dairy Breeders Association.

He is survived by his wife, Norma, daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Larry Traweek, of Garland, Texas, grandchildren, Amy Wallace, Matthew Price, and Scott and Patrick Davis; great-grandchildren, Brady and Bailey Wallace; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Elaine Olson of Ashton, Idaho, and niece, Sandy Fulks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cheryl Davis, and brother, Neil Olson.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
