Services will be 10:30 a.m., Wed. Dec. 4, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington for Louise E. Hilgenkamp, 84, of rural Arlington, who died Nov 30, 1996, at Arbor Manor in Fremont. Rev. Michael L. Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Louise E. Hilgenkamp was born Nov 9, 1912, in Arlington to George and Anna Hilgenkamp Knecht. She lived all her life on a farm in the Arlington area.

She was a life-long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She attended East St. Paul’s Lutheran School, beginning in 1919.

She married Edwin H. Hilgenkamp Oct. 30, 1934 at Staplehurst, Nebr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Henry Knecht, Otto Knecht, Walter Knecht and J. Paul Knecht and a sister, Martha Hokamp.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Elaine Hilgenkamp and Milton and Kathy Hilgenkamp, all of Arlington; one daughter and son-in-law, Deloris and Verdell Stork of Arlington; three sisters, Mary Echtenkamp and Anna Greunke, both of Wayne, Nebr., and Elsa Greunke of Fremont; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Steven Hilgenkamp, John Hilgenkamp, Michael Stork, Alan Wirse, Galen Buhr and Brian Rasmussen.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of St. Paul’s Lutheran School.

Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Louise Emma Ida Hilgenkamp was the daughter of John George and Anna (Hilgenkamp) Knecht. She was born on November 9, 1912 at Arlington, Nebraska. She lived all her life on a farm in the Arlington area. Louise married Edwin H. Hilgenkamp on October 30, 1934 at Staplehurst, Nebraska.

Louise was a life-long member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. She attended grade school at the East St. Paul’s School beginning in 1919.

Louise passed from this life on Saturday, November 30, 1996, at Arbor Manor in Fremont, Nebraska, at the age of 84 years and 21 days. She is survived by her husband, Edwin; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Elaine Hilgeniamp and Milton and Kathy Hilgenkamp, all of Arlington; daughter and son-in-law Deloris and Verdell Stork of Arlington; sisters, Mary Echtenkamp and Anna Greunke, both of Wayne, NE and Elsa Greunke of Fremont; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Henry, Otto, Walter and J. Paul Knecht; and a sister, Martha Hokamp.
