Services for Hans Ernest Jensen will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Home. Jensen died at the Blair Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 29, 1986.

Jensen was born in the Orum vicinity on January 17, 1912, to Jens C. and Johanne Jensen. He grew up on a farm in the Herman neighborhood.

In January of 1942 he married Lena Layman at Blair.

In May of 1942 he entered the military service during WW II, serving in North Africa with the Air Corps. He left the military service in 1946 and farmed for 30 years northwest of Kennard.

In 1977 they moved to Blair where he drove the Crowell Home van until ill health caused his retirement.

Jensen is survived by his wife Lena of Blair, two sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Rosamond) Hancock of Blair, Mrs. Blaine (Marie) Ernst of Pasco, Washington; nieces and a nephew, including Mrs. Richard (Sylvia) Toelke of Blair and Carroll Hancock of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Rolland Smith, Jr., Bob Wilkins, Ronald Jensen, Abe Warrick, Alton Stender and Harold Williamsen.

Burial was in the Blair Cemetery with Military services.

Our sincere thanks to the Blair Rescue Squad, Dr. Grace and the fine staff at Memorial Community Hospital for their excellent care during the recent illness and death of our loved one, Hans Ernest Jensen. A speical thanks to pastors John Ewton for his conforting service and Steven Theiss for his many visits and prayers. Also to Fred Aman for his wonderful support.

We thank the Blair V.F.W. Post 1251 Firing Squad, all those who sent flowers, food, memorials and cards. The prayers offered on our behalf were greatly appreciated and sustained us during a very trying time. We are most grateful to Jean Jensen, Thelma Heinssen and Vinona Nelsen for serving the lunch; to Robert Borgelt for his kind deed of snow removal, and of course, to Olsen Auto Service. Most of all, we thank a generous God, who does even more than He promises.

Memorials will be divided between Blair Rescue Squad and V.F.W. Firing Squad of Blair Post 1251.
