Services were Sat. Nov. 30 at Rejoice Lutheran Church in Omaha for Nancy J. Peck, 40, of Omaha, who died Nov. 27, 1996, at Methodist Hospital. She was taken to the hospital by rescue squad suffering from an asthma attack prior to her death. Burial was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Nancy J. Peck grew up in Tekamah, the daughter of John and Joyce Peck. She had a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was pursuing her master’s degree at UNL. She taught music at Montclair Elementary School in the Millard, Nebr., School District. She was also an organist and flutist. She had played in recitals in Omaha, Lincoln and Seattle.

She married Kevin D. Thomas in February.

She is survived by her husband ; son, Jonathan Hanson and daughter, Jenna Hanson, both of Omaha; a step-son, Brandon Thomas and step-daughter, Allison Thomas, both of Blair, her parents, John and Joyce Peck, Tekamah and sisters, Julie Swanson, Omaha; Linda Srb, Botheil, Wash., and Amy Peck, Omaha.

Roeder Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
