JACK JENSEN DIES AT THE AGE OF 78

Jack Jensen, of 2157 Jackson Street in Blair, passed away at the Blair Hospital on Friday, October 28th at the age of 78. Services for Mr. Jensen were held on Monday, October 31, at 3 p.m. in the First Lutheran Church of Blair.

Rev. Robert Albers and Rev. John Petersen officiated with Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Jack Jensen was born in Denmark on March 25, 1899. He was married to Amelia Mikkelsen who survives him. Mr. Jensen came to the United States and served in the First World War. He came to Blair and was in the construction and paving contract business. His firm constructed many of the business & public buildings in Blair including the St. Borgia Catholic Church. The firm is primarily in the contract paving business now.

Survivors include the wife, Amelia, son Robert Jensen of Blair, 7 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

There are two surviving brothers and one sister. The brothers are Nels Jensen, of Tyler, Minnesota and Victor Jensen of Denmark. The sister is Dagmar Jorgensen of Denmark.

Pallbearers were : J.B. Long, Garland Runyon, Ernie Stricklett, Paul Nockels, Denny Brummer and Dr. Gary Finn.
