Amanda Echtenkamp

Services for Amanda Echtenkamp, 96, Fremont, who died Monday, October 7, 1985, Dodge County Memorial Hospital in Fremont, are today (Thursday) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Donald Leuenhag will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.

Mrs. Echtenkamp was born January 15, 1889, the daughter of William and Emilie Scheer, Sr. She married August F. Echtenkamp April 18, 1911, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Arlington.

She grew up in Arlington and she and her husband farmed in the area until 1938 when they moved to Fremont.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Selma) Brandert of Hooper, and Mrs. Leonard (Rozella) Laaker of Blair; five sisters, Mrs. Selma Westermann of Valpraiso, Indiana, Mrs. Edna Mueller of San Lorenzo, California, Mrs. Lenora Lueders of San Benito, Texas, and Mrs. Alice Merkling of Fremont, five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Raymond; five brothers, Albert, George, William, Jr., Emil and Ervin; and one grandson, Gary Echtenkamp.

Pallbearers are Raymond Scheer, Gerald Scheer, Dale Scheer, Jerry scheer, James Miller and Robert Herring. Organist was Robin Williams.

Memorials may be given to the Church.
