SERVICES FOR JAMES JENSEN WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for James G. Jensen will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Campbell Funeral Home. Rev. Dale Westadt will officiate with organist Clare Cowing and vocalist Homer Nielsen. Burial will follow at Blair Cemetery.

A life-long farmer, Jensen died Saturday, Sept. 29, 1984, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair at the age of 88. James, or Jimmy, as he was referred to by his family and friends, was born June 23, 1896, on the family farm six miles south of Blair to Niels and Marie Jensen.

He attended Long Creek School, and on June 20, 1923, he married Madolin Viola Richter. Jimmy and Madolin made their home on the family farm for 59 years until they moved to Blair in 1982. They were parents of five children.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Madolin; two sons and their wives, James R. and Betty Jo Jensen of Bridgeport, Nebr., and Ray and Janice Jensen of Blair; two daughters and their husbands, Vernon and Phyllis Bellows of Omaha, and Dr. Jeffery and Kathy Vinton of Beauford, S.C.; and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Richard (Sandra) Jensen of Longmont, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Nels (Hilga) Hansen of Harlingten, Texas, and Mrs. William (Ingery) Koenig of Ayshire, Iowa.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his son Richard, brother Clarence, and sisters Mrs. Jay (Margaret) Larson and Mrs. Hans (Sena) Hansen.

Pallbearers will be Ed Lorenzen, Stan Stirek, Danny Dame, Irving Will, Charley Toye and Everett Haynes.
