KENNETH L. JENSEN, 79

Funeral services for Kenneth L. Jensen, age 79, of Blair, were held 10 a.m. Monday, April 3, at the First United Methodist Church. Kenneth passed away on Thursday evening, March 30, 1989 after suffering a heart attack at his home. Rev. Howard Bailey officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

He was born on February 1, 1910 at Blair, Nebraska to Frank and Freida Jensen. After graduating from Blair High School, he worked for J.D. Garrison, until World War II, at which time he moved to California and worked for the Lockheed Aircraft Company.

He married Mazie Brinley in California. They resided there until returning in 1945 at which time they purchased the Blair Clothing Store from J.D. Garrison. He retired in 1978 and sold the business to his daughter and grandson.

Kenneth was a past member of the Blair Lions Club, Secretary of the Blair Chamber of Commerce, Blair Masonic Lodge, Commandery, Tangier Shrine and the Order of The Eastern Star.

He is survived by his wife Mazie; daughter Betty, Mrs. George Thompson of Blair; three grandsons, Ken Peare, Omaha; Joe Peare, Blair; Arnold Leighton, San Diego, California; by six great-grandchildren; mother, Freida Devinney, Blair; one sister, Lucille Smith; and one brother Donald "Bud" Jensen, both of Blair; one uncle Walt Petersen of Blair; and many nieces and nephews.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
