MRS. THOMAS JENSEN RITES HELD MONDAY

Mrs. Thomas Jensen, 76 years of age, died Friday at her home at 2341 Jackson Street. Funeral services were held today (Monday) at First Lutheran Church, the Rev. George Palleson officiating with the Eastern Star in charge of graveside services at Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Jensen is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughters, Mrs. Frank Shea (Ellen) of Omaha, Mrs. Warren Wheatley (Marie) of Blair and Mrs. Ann Parcher of Blair; five sons, Lars and Woodrow of Omaha, Neils of Blair, Chris of Hooper and Albert of Tacoma, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Laretta Kritine Jensen was born Dec. 23, 1885 at Saby, Denmark, the daughter of Hans Peter and Ann Marie Hansen. She married Thomas Jensen March 23, 1903 in Denmark.

The couple came to the United States in 1906, settling at Harlan, Iowa. They later moved to Spencer, Nebr., and from there to Kennard. In 1942, Mr. Jensen retired from the railroad and moved to Blair.

The pallbearers were Harley Thompson, Howard Cook, Ray and Lyle Rosenbaum, Nels Jensen and Howard Christensen.

The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
