Glenn M. Hazard, 79, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at his home in Blair.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment will be at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m. A scripture service will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Glenn M. Hazard was born April 6, 1932, in Irvington to Archie and Anna (Jacobsen) Hazard. He attended elementary school in Irvington and graduated from Irvington High School.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956.

On Nov. 24, 1956, he married Darlene Dillon.

Mr. Hazard worked for Western Electric and retired after 37 years with the company. After his retirement, he worked part-time for Woodhouse Ford. He enjoyed baseball, gardening, hunting, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a past member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Teresa of Gretna, and Scott and Rhonda of Anthon, Iowa; daughter, Nancy Hazard, Harlan, Iowa; six grandchildren, Matt, Abby and husband Matthew Sandquist, Nathan, Travis, Justin and Austin; two great-granddaughters, Zoey and Claire, numerous nephews and nieces; sister, Gladys Jensen of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Sass.
