MINNIE JENSEN, 89

Minnie Jensen, 89, of Tekamah, widow of Chris Jensen, died early Sunday morning, January 17, 1988, at the Oakland Hospital in Oakland.

She was born on December 21, 1898, at Unadilla, Nebraska, to Julius and Dorothea (Witt) Geschke.

She was united in marriage to Chris Jensen on October 3, 1918, near Syracuse.

The couple farmed near Tekamah nearly all their lives, until retiring and moving to town.

Minnie had been a resident of the Oakland Heights Care Center in Oakland since December, 1985.

Mr. Jensen died on May 14, 1987.

Minnie was a long-time member of the Pleasant Hour Club and was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah for over 60 years.

Survivors include two daughters: Dorothea (Mrs. Ronald) Bell of Tekamah and Helen (Mrs. Loren) Bundy of Oakland; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Oscar Geschke of Plattsmouth.

She wa preceded in death by her parents; husband, one sister, and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 19, 1988, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah with Reverend David L. Nystrom officiating.

Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral home in Tekamah.
