SERVICES HELD IN HERMAN FOR RUTH JACKSON

Services were held at Herman Methodist Church Saturday, December 31, 1977, for Ruth Cameron Jackson, who died at Crowell Home Thursday, December 29, at the age of 81. Reverend William Whittaker officiated at the services.

Interment was in the Herman Cemetery.

Ruth Cameron Jackson was born December 25, 1896, to William Cara and Harriet Ruth Cameron at their farm home near Spiker, Nebraska. She was a Herman High School graduate and a graduate of Dana College in Blair. She taught school for many years in Washington County.

She was united in marriage to Henry Jackson on December 4, 1925. They farmed in the rural Herman area. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Circle 1, a Past Worthy Matron and fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Marian) Madsen, of Blair; one son, Cameron Jackson, of Herman; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. One sister, Mary Brodersen, with whom she made her home, and numerous nieces and nephews, also survive her.

Grace Husk was organist for the services. Richard Barnard was the vocalist.

Pallbearers were Joe Cameron, Jack Cameron, Bill Cameron, Todd Brodersen, Riley Brodersen and Robert Brodersen.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles Brodersen and Malcolm Brodersen.

Arrangements for the services were handled by Campbell Funeral Home.
