Doris H. Busch, 92, of Fremont, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at Nye Legacy in Fremont.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 12, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Interment was in Fremont's Memorial Cemetery.

Doris H. Hilgenkamp was born May 12, 1919, in Arlington to Walter and Laura (Laaker) Hilgenkamp. She grew up on a farm in the Arlington area.

On February 4, 1940, she was married at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Winslow, to LaVerne Busch. Following their marriage, the couple lived on different farms until moving to a farm east of Immanuel Lutheran Church in 1953. They farmed there until retiring in 1988 and moved into Fremont.

Mrs. Busch was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Fremont, and was formerly a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she had been a member of the LWML and the Ladies Aid. At Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, she was a member of the LWML, Tabitha Society, Altar Guild and the Good Shepherd Quilters.

She is survived by a son, Larry Busch of Fremont; two daughters, Carol Meier of Hooper and Connie Busch of Hatfield, Penn.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVerne, in February of 1998; a son-in-law, Don Meier; daughter-in-law Norma Busch; and sister, Lorraine Hartung.

A memorial fund will be established.
