OSCAR JENSEN TO BE BURIED IN KENNARD

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard for Oscar Jensen, 73, who died Tuesday, July 1, 1980, at Vets Hospital in Omaha. Rev. Kurt Sortland will conduct the services.

Burial will be in Kennard Cemetery. Military Services will be held by VFW Post #1251.

Oscar Jensen was born August 14, 1906, to Henry and Johanna Jensen in kennard. A World War II veteran, he lived at the Blair Marina Trailer Court and worked for Kelly Ryan. For many years, he also cared for the Blair bears which were kept at the Marina.

He is survived by two brothers, Albert Jensen, Blair, and Leslie Jensen of Seattle, Washington; and two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Bertha) Jacob, Kennard, and Mrs. Roy (Ella) Rahlfs of Blair.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.

Oscar Jensen was born August 14, 1906, to Henry and Johanna Jensen in Kennard. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith as a youth.

He served in the Armed Forces for three years during World War II.

He lived in the Kennard and Blair area all his life and worked for Kelly Ryan. For many years he also cared for the Blair bears which were kept at the Marina.

His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He is survived by two brothers, Albert Jensen, Blair, and Leslie Jensen of Seattle, Washington; and two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Bertha) Jacob, and Mrs. Roy (Ella) Rahlf, both of Blair. A large number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive him.

Pallbearers were Bruce Coryell, Herman Jacob, William Jensen, Kenneth Rahlfs, Arthur Robinson and Donald Swanson, all nephews of Mr. Jensen.

Norma Sue Klotz was organist. Melvin Misfeldt was vocalist.
