We had a note last week of the paralytic stroke suffered by Peter A. Jensen on Friday of the week before and spoke of his condition being very serious at the time we went to press Wednesday afternoon. Death came to relieve him at 7:30 Thursday morning and the funeral was held at the Baptist church at 2:30, following a brief service at the house. Rev. C.M. Foreman was assisted by Rev. Jos. Johnson of Omaha.

Deceased was born in Wedirm, Denmark, May 12th, 1836, and was therefore past 81 years of age. He was married there to Marguerite Madsen, January 11th, 1865, and came to this country in 1874, settling on a farm eight miles west of Blair, now owned by Wm. Stork. They sold the farm and moved to Blair about twenty years ago. Eight children were born to them, six of whom are living: J.M. Jensen, of Spencer, Ia., Mrs. A.L. Nay of Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. P.H. Erntson of Botha, Alberta, Canada, P.E. Jensen of Nevada, Ia., Mrs. C.E. Anderson of Mullen, Neb., and Mrs. F.A. Washburn of this city, who has recently taken charge of the Blair hospital.
