Peter Aage Jensen, 84, of Omaha, died June 16, 2000 at his home.

Services were Monday, June 19, 2000, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Omaha. Interment was at the Springwell Danish Cemetery in Omaha.

Peter Aage Jensen was born April 8, 1916, in Orum, Denmark. He grew up in Orum, finished school, and worked as a farm hand in Denmark. He immigrated to the area in 1947, sponsored by his uncle, Anton Jensen.

He married Ida Jorgensen on Feb. 17, 1951 at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church.

His main vocation was working as a farmer in the Fort Calhoun area. His hobbies included dancing almost every week with his wife, Ida. He will be most remembered for his honesty. If you asked his opinion, he wouldn’t necessarily “sugar coat” it for you.

He is survived by his wife; three sons and daughters-in –law, Anton and Robin Jensen of Fort Calhoun, Karl and Caren Jensen of Omaha, Aage and Michelle Jensen, also of Fort Calhoun; eight grandchildren, and sisters, Ellen and Maria of Denmark.

Memorials are suggested to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
