Service Wed. For August Echtenkamp
Services will be Wednesday for August F. Echtenkamp, 79 of 406 North Logan Avenue, Fremont, who died Sunday following a three year illness.
He was born October 6, 1887, at Arlington. Mr. Echtenkamp, a retired farmer and former employee of the Platte Valley Cement and Tile Company, moved from Arlington to Fremont in ?
He was a former member of the Home Guard during World War I and was a member of the Lutheran Church in Fremont.
Mr. Echtenkamp was married to the former Amanda Scheer who survives, April 18, 1911, at Arlington. Other survivors are a son Raymond Echtenkamp, Elkhorn; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Selma) Brandert, Hooper and Mrs. Leonard (Rozella) Laaker; brother, Ed J. Echtenkamp, Florida; sister Mrs. Ed Stork, Fremont; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Rev. Donald Levenhagen will officiate at the 2 p.m. services Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fremont. A memorial fund has been established for the church.
Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Moser-Ludvigsen Memorial Chapel is in charge.
