RESIDENT OF HERMAN DIES

MRS. HANS M. JENSEN, 57, IS DEAD; FUNERAL WILL BE HELD FRIDAY

Mrs. Hans M. Jensen, 57, for many years a resident of the Herman vicinity, died Tuesday afternoon at Dodge County hospital, Fremont, following a stroke.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Herman Methodist church, the Rev. Knute Larsen of Laurel conducting Danish Lutheran services, and interment will be in Herman cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Vinderslev, Ted Iverson, Andrew Hoier, Walter Nelson, Peter Christensen and Ole Jensen.

Sisel Marie Rasmussen was born November 11, 1885, in Denmark, and as a girl was confirmed in the Lutheran church. In 1902 she came to America, settling at David City, Nebraska. She and Hans M. Jensen were married July 11, 1906, and lived for a time in Blair, then moving to a farm southwest of Herman, where they have remained for 35 years.

Surviving Mrs. Jensen are her husband; two sons, Robert Jensen of Camp Edwards, Massachusetts, and John Jensen of Herman; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Kuhr (Minnie) and Mrs. Gus (Dagmar) Frahm, both of Herman; one sister, Mrs. Jens C. Jensen of Herman; and five grandchildren.

MRS. HANS M. JENSEN PASSES TUESDAY

Mrs. Hans M. Jensen, who has been in failing health for the past two years, suffered a stroke two weeks ago, and was immediately taken to the Dodge County Hospital in Fremont where she died last Tuesday at 1pm.

Mrs. Jensen was born in Denmark, and came to America when seventeen years of age, settling in David City where she lived for three years before coming to this county.

She was married to Hans M. Jensen in 1906, and they have spent their entire married life on a farm. To the couple were born two sons, John of near Herman and Robert in the service of his country and stationed a Camp Edwards, Mass. and two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Kuhr of Rose Hill and Mrs. Gus Frahm of Lyons. These, with the husband, are left to mourn their great loss. One sister, Mrs. Jens. C. Jensen also survives.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Friday, at 2 p.m. from the Methodist church in Herman, and interment will be made in the Herman cemetery.
