STANLEY E. JENSEN, 65

Stanley E. Jensen, 65, of Blair, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at Veteran’s Hospital in Omaha.

Stanley Jensen was born March 24, 1935, to Chris and Frederica Jensen of Hooper. He was the grandson of Tomas and Loretta Jensen of Blair.

He joined the U.S. Army on Sept. 5, 1952. He served in both Korea and Vietnam, and retired as a master sergeant on April 30, 1974. While in the service, he received both the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart, as well as the following awards: NDSM. W/OLC, R-VNCMW/60 DEV, NDSM, VSM, CCMDL three awards, ARCOM 2 O/S Bars, AFREM with 6 Svc. Strips, and ARCOM w/2 oak leaf clusters.

He is survived by his mother, Frederica of Fremont, his wife, Ida Jensen and a son, Gary Tomas Jensen, both of Laughton, Okla., a sister, Shirley Luther of Las Vegas, an uncle, Neils Jensen, and an aunt, Ann Jensen Parcher, both of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his father.

No funeral services are planned at this time. Interment will be at the Blair Cemetery.
