Madonna R. Eastwood, 78

Madonna R. Eastwood, 78, of Woodbine, Iowa, died Jan. 20, 2006 at Rose Vista Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at St. Patrick's Church in Council Bluffs. Interment will be at a later date in Omaha.

Madonna Rose Eastwood was born May 18, 1927, in Dunlap, Iowa, to Edmund and Ethel (Howe) McCann. She graduated from St. Cecilia's Catherdral High School in 1945 and worked in Omaha and Denver, Colo. She was employed with the Social Security Administration until her retirement in 1992. She was a longtime resident of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and moved to Council Bluffs due to her health. She loved traveling, shopping and being with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Diane and Wayne Thomas of Missouri Valley, Tim and Peggy Eastwood of Blair, Kelly and Tiffany Eastwood of Arlington, Tracy Rushlau and friend, Brandon, of Omaha, Jean and Jan Schulke of Fremont, and Mary Eastwood of Austin, Texas; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Phil McCann of Woodbine, James and Ann McCann of Omaha, David and Ethel McCann of Council Bluffs; sister, Patricia Worthman of Concord, Calif; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Sanford Eastwood, and a grandson, James Eastwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Diabetes Educational Center of the Midlands or any public library.

Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler West Center Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
