Age 71 - Jan 23, 2012

Passed away in the loving presence of his family.

He was preceded in death by sister, Gayle R. Olsen.

Gil is survived by his wife Judith (Reeves) Johnson, brother Gary R. Johnson, children Gilbert P. Johnson, DeSilva (Johnson) Magill, Cody D. Johnson, stepson Rick Kocour, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Some of Gil's many accomplishments include being a commercial, then a corporate pilot. He was a member of the All-American Trap Shooting team, Nebraska Trap Shooting Hall of Fame, National Trap Shooting Champion, Nebraska Trap Association Director, and invited to try out for the 1976 Olympics.

To honor Gil's wishes, he was cremated and a private family service was held. Condolences may be sent to Judith Johnson at 9211 S. 25th Avenue, Bellevue NE 68147.

If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again.

My heart still aches with sadness, and secret tears still flow. What it meant to love you, no one will ever know.

Since you’ll never be forgotten, I promise you today, a hallowed place within my heart is where you’ll always stay.
