Helen Gosker, 93, of Blair, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Country Bible Church.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Helen Nelson was born May 11, 1918, near Craig to Arthur A. and Alida M. (Bordson) Nelson. She attended school in Oakland and graduated from high school in 1936. After graduation she moved to Omaha and later to Blair where she worked at the Washington County courthouse.

In 1945, she married Obert Gosker and they made their home in Telbasta. In 1971, she moved to Blair where she resided until her death. She loved to visit with her many friends and always had a smile for everyone. She enjoyed her hobby of needlepoint and made some beautiful pictures which she entered at the county fair. She was a member of Country Bible Church and was one of the founding members of the Silver Chords group at the church. She leaves behind a great legacy of faith that gave her an inner strength and peace that was apparent to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Gosker of Blair and Earlene Dear of Tucson, Ariz.; two granddaughters, Julie Evans of Tucson and Sandra Dear of Wahoo; and two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Amanda.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Obert, one sister and one brother.
