SERVICES ARE CONDUCTED FOR ANDY ANDERSON

A prayer service was held at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun on February 20th, and funeral services were held at N.P. Swanton-Golden Funeral Home in Omaha on February 21st, for Henry J. (Andy) Anderson, 74, who passed away on February 17, 1979. He apparently died of a heart attack.

Reverend Lynn Williams officiated at the prayer service, and Roland A. Jank, Jr. officiated at the funeral. Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements, and burial was made at Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha.

Pallbearers were: Norman Soucie, Erwin Nielsen, Cal Palmquist, William Meyers, Donald Tietgen, and Stanley Gage.

Mr. Anderson was born on April 22, 1904 to John and Agnes Anderson, at Sioux City, Iowa. At the age of 14 he began employment with the Union Pacific Railroad and continued there until his retirement about ten years. He has lived in Fort Calhoun for about 30 years. He was very active in the Boy Scouts program and had served as Fort Calhoun mayor at one time.

In addition to his wife, Clara, Andy is survived by one son, Gerald, of El Paso, Texas; five brothers, Louie of Washington, Albert, Earl, Howard and Charles, all of California; and grandchildren.
