Buried in Blair Cemetery.

George Washington Barger died at his home on east Nebraska street last Saturday afternoon following a short illness. The deceased was born in Lawrence county, Indiana, December 23, 1842 and lived in Washington county for many years. In 1869 he was married to Elizabeth Arter and to this union seven children, Mary, Thomas, Ellen, James, Gertrude and Charles were born.

Funeral services were conducted from the home at 2:00 o’clock on Monday afternoon, the Rev. L.J. Moran, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating, after which interment was made in Blair cemetery.
