FITCH – Virginia May, born July 27, 1915, passed away on April 13, 1998, at the Florence Home where she had resided since 1993. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Harry B. Fitch and Maybell Boon Fitch and brother, Lawrence, all of Omaha. She is survived by brother, Dan L. Fitch and wife Joyce of Houston, Texas; nephews, Bradley Fitch of Houston, and Scott Fitch of San Antonio and cousin, Rev. Conrad Schmitz of Omaha.

Virginia graduated from Miller Park Elementary School and North High School. She lived in Florence virtually all of her adult life. She worked in the china department of Kilpatrick’s department store, which later became Younkers, for nearly 40 years. She was an expert in fine china and cut glass. Virginia was a lifelong Christian Scientist and leaves many friends and loved ones from the 2nd and 3rd Church of Christ Scientists.

SERVICES Fri. 2:00 pm at the Colonial Chapel.
