MRS. JERRY FOLEY, DIED WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Jerry Foley, a life-long resident of Washington County, died at her home at 1927 West Colfax Street early Wednesday morning. She was 85 years old.

Marie Louise Foley was born January 23, 1875 in Washington County, the daughter of Adolph and Marie Lazure, pioneer Washington County residents. They were farmers in the DeSoto area and Mrs. Foley grew to womanhood in that vicinity.

On June 9, 1903 she was married to Jerry Foley and they continued as farmers on the well-known Foley Farm in the Maney school district south of Blair. Her husband died in 1957.

Mrs. Foley is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Vina Campbell, Kilgore, Nebraska; Mrs. Rosalie Hogan, Mankato, Minnesota; Mrs. Theresa Reeh, Blair and Mrs. Beatrice Howard, Blair. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita O’Hanlon and a son, Frances J. Foley. A sister, Miss Margaret Lazure resides in Omaha and a brother, Charles Lazure also lives in Omaha. Another brother, Ernest Lazure, lives at Portland, Oregon. There are 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be held Friday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the Campbell Mortuary and funeral services, conducted by Father Edward O’Donnel will be held at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning. Burial, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary will be in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Blair.
