HERMAN HEUERMANN DIES IN COLORADO

Word reached Mrs. Fred H. Heuermann and family of the death of Herman Heuermann of Fort Morgan, Colorado, early Friday morning in a hospital there, following an illness of several weeks.

Mr. Heuermann was taken to the hospital the day his brother, Fred H. Heuermann of Arlington died at Fort Morgan. Herman had never been told of his brother’s sudden death.

Herman Heuermann was born in Cincinnati, Ohio January 12, 1866, and came, with his parents, to Arlington when a lad of about seven years.

In 1895 he was married to Mayme Reynolds of Arlington, and they resided there until 1910 when they moved to Fort Morgan, where they homesteaded and have since resided.

Mr. Heuermann operated an implement business during his residence in Arlington, and took an active interest in community affairs, serving on the town and school boards.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Mrs. Gertrude Thompson of Arizona and Herbert Heuermann of Portland, Oregon; two brothers, F. W. of Grand Island and Henry of Torrington, Wyo., and one sister, Mrs. Fred Plugge of Kennard, who was at Fort Morgan at the time of his death.

Funeral services were held at Fort Morgan Monday, with burial there.

FORMER COUNTIAN’S DEATH FOLLOWS THAT OF HIS BROTHER, FRED

Herman Heuerman, 79, of Fort Morgan, Colorado, died Friday in a hospital there, only four days after the passing of his brother, Fred Heuerman, Sr., 67, of Arlington.

The latter had been visiting Herman in Colorado when stricken. Herman was never informed of his brother’s sudden death.

Herman Heuerman was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, January 12, 1866, and came to Nebraska with his parents when 7 years old. In 1895 he was married to Mayme Reynolds of Arlington, and they resided in that community until going to Fort Morgan in 1910 to homestead.

At one time Mr. Heuerman operated an implement business in Arlington, during which time he took an active interest in community affairs. He served on the town and school boards.

Surviving are his wife and two children, Mrs. Gertrude Thompson of Arizona and Herbert Heuerman of Portland, Oregon. Other survivors include two brothers, F.W. of Grand Island and Henry of Torrington, Wyoming; and one sister, Mrs. Fred Plugge, Sr., of Kennard, who was at Fort Morgan when he passed away.

Funeral services were held Monday at Fort Morgan, with burial there. Among relatives at the services were Henry, Chester and Arthur Heuerman, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Plugge, all of Washington and Dodge counties.
