WM J. RICHARDSON DIED AT FT. CALHOUN SATURDAY MORNING

Wm. J. Richardson, of 654 North 21st Street, Blair, succumbed to a heart attack last Saturday morning while at work at the plant of the Wilkinson Manufacturing Co. in Fort Calhoun. Richardson was 52 years of age. He was born at Howardstown, Kentucky May 3, 1931.

He came to Nebraska several years ago and has lived at Blair during that time.

He was a Master Sergeant in World War II and was active in a number of patriotic organizations. He was a member of the Ft. Calhoun Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Ft. Calhoun American Legion Post.

He is survived by his wife, Laverne, and by eight children. Children at home, living in Blair are Ryan, Brad, Jeff and Kurt. Four other children by a previous marriage live in California. There are six grandchildren.

Mr. Richardson’s mother, Mrs. Clara Richardson, lives in Florida.

The deceased is survived by two brothers and five sisters. They are Betty Richardson, Opal Watters, Sally Smith and Lucille Fisher, all of whom live in Michigan. A daughter, Iris Wall lives in Illinolis. One brother, Archie Richardson lives in Michigan and another brother, Joe Henry Richardson lives in California.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 27th at the Campbell Mortuary, Father Robert Garvey of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church conducting the service. Burial was made in Holy Cross Cemetery at Blair.

Pallbearers were John Mackin, Harry Wiese, Clarence Marr, Bill Grimes, Derald Nelson and Fred Hach.
