SERVICES FOR DELMAR RUWE WERE MONDAY

Funeral services were held Monday, November 7 at the Legion Hall in Herman for Delmar Ruwe of Herman. Rev. Michael Conner of Blair officiated at the service. Pallbearers were Gordon Anderson, Howard Curley, Lester Curley, Marvin Jordan, Darrel Kuhlman, and Marion Loftis. Burial was in Herman Cemetery.

Delmar Ruwe was born February 8, 1907 at Herman, to Herman and Ida Ruwe. He attended Belle Center and New England Schools. He farmed in partnership with his brother Harlan until 1977 when failing health caused him to retire. He lived all his life on the farm where he was born.

In 1943 he was married to Lura Hovendick of Herman. They had 4 children, a son Darwin of Tekamah and 3 daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Mardel) Funk, Mrs. James (Darrylin) Lippincott and Mrs. Audrey Muhs, all of Lincoln. All survive. Other survivors include 2 granddaughters; a sister, Mrs. Albert (Esther) Sprick of Blair and a brother, Harlan of Herman.
