ARTHUR R. JIPP, 88

Arthur R. Jipp, 88 of Blair, died on Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16.

Arthur Rudolph Jipp was born June 13, 1912, in Fort Calhoun, to Fred and Marie (Schumacher) Jipp. He attended school in Fort Calhoun.

On Sept. 3, 1935, he married Charlotte June Lenox in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Jipp worked for the Nebraska Department of Roads for 27 years, and retired in 1977. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles # 3215, First United Methodist Church, and served in the CCC Camp from 1932 to 1935.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Tony Snyder of Blair and Cheryl and Dale Hansen of Newburgh, Ind.; four granddaughters, Marsha and Ron Wortz, Melissa Hansen, Debra and Kimberly Snyder; and two brothers, George Jipp of Blair and Ernie Jipp of Santee, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife; sisters, Helen Gregersen, Mary Wilderson, and infant sister, Elizabeth; and brothers Richard, Max, Fritz, Arnold, Frank, and infant brothers, Harry and Paul.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
