CATHERINE ELLEN ROOT JIPP, 73

Services for Catherine Ellen Root Jipp, 73 who died August 24, 1993 at Good Shepherd Home in Blair will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 27 at the Fort Calhoun Baptist Church in Fort Calhoun. Rev. Gary Warrick will officiate. Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

There will be a prayer service Thursday, August 26 at 7 p.m. at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home.

Catherine Ellen Root Jipp was born September 15, 1919 at Murray, Nebraska to Jesse Albert and Audrey Dawn Lauther Root. She grew up in Blair.

She married Arnold R. Jipp in Blair October 20, 1941.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church in Blair.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold; three daughters, Rita Taylor, Doris Smith and Deloris Cornick; six grandchildren, Ron Smith, Jeff Smith, Mark Cornick, Teresa Larson, Chris Taylor and Trevor Taylor; two brothers, Gene Root and Ray Root and two sisters Helen Fuller and Wilma Youngblut.
