Services for Agnes Petersen Johansen, 87 of Blair who died January 27, 1995 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home were Monday, January 30 at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Rev. Dave Nelson officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Agnes Petersen Johansen was born to Peter S. and Kristiane Kjeldsen Petersen January 4, 1908 in Dannebrog, Nebraska. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
She attended Dana College and toured Denmark with the Dana College Choir in 1935.
She married Ivan K. Johansen May 28, 1936 in Lincoln. In addition to Lincoln, they lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming and the San Francisco, California area, when they were transferred by United Airlines.
They moved to Blair in 1978 when they retired.
She had been a resident of Good Shepherd Lutheran Home for five years.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in –law, Ivan K., Jr. and Cindi Johansen, Greenbrook, New Jersey; Charles P. and Judy Johansen, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Mark D. and Ruth Johansen, Arlington Heights, Illinois; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ruth Petersen of Atlantic, Iowa and nieces and nephews.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
