FORMER DANA PROF. KILLED IN ACCIDENT

A former Dana College professor Leland Johansen, 50, Mayor of Cozad, was killed Wednesday in head-on crash of his pickup truck and a moving van near Elk City (sic--Elk Creek), Nebraska.

Mr. Johansen taught Agriculture courses at Dana College.

FindaGrave 107911806 Note: Leland died in Buffalo Co, not Douglas Co. The Pilot-Tribune was mistaken, as evidenced by the fact that the coroner's jury was held in Buffalo County district court, and many other local newspapers report the accident location as Elm Creek.
