LILLIE JOHANSEN

Services for Lillie L. Johansen, who died Sunday, August 10, 1986, at Good Shepherd Home in Blair, will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 12, at First Lutheran Church in Blair.

Mrs. Johansen was born January 8, 1895, the daughter of Lewis and Ella Johnson. She was the oldest of eight children.

She married Kristian F. Johansen on May 3, 1915.

In 1928 the couple moved to Fremont, Lincoln, and finally settled in Blair, where they were involved in the floral and nursery business.

On April 1, 1948, they began operation of the Good Shepherd Home in Blair in a frame structure on the corner of Wright and 22nd Streets.

Mrs. Johansen succeeded her husband as administrator of the home and later, as the operation grew, was matron of the Home until she retired in 1960.

Survivors include one son, Ivan of Blair; three daughters, Mrs. James (Leona) Hansen of Blair; Mrs. Dorithy Obbink of Lincoln; and Mrs. Mark (Vera Mae) Barbeau of Millbrae, California; three sisters, Mrs. Alvina Johnson and Mrs. Verna White, both of Plainview, and Mrs. Myrtle Nielsen of Scottsbluff; two brothers, Lloyd Johnson of Plainview and Orval of Prophetstown, Illinois; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1948, and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be Francis Hovendick, Otto Stave, Phil Larsen, A.J. Snowbeck, Edward B. Hansen and Jerry Roethemeyer.

Campbell Funeral Home of Blair is in charge of arrangements.
