DELLA JOHNS, 87

Services for Della Johns, 87 were held Tuesday, October 11 at the Littlefork Lutheran Church in Littlefork, Minnesota. The Rev. Scott Jacob officiated. Interment was in the Oakley Cemetery, Littlefork.

Della Doris Hahlbeck was born June 21, 1907, at Beemer, Nebraska and attended schools in Scribner and Norfolk before becoming a registered nurse in Sioux City, Iowa. In 1931 she moved to Salinas, California and later to Ukiah, California where she worked as a cook for the Ukiah district. She moved to Littlefork in 1957.

She married Edmund J. Johns of Blair March 31, 1928 and they lived in the Blair area prior to moving to California. He preceded her in death in 1971.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Amanda Kloth Hahlbeck; son, Lawrence Edmund in 1987; seven brothers and five sisters, and two granddaughters.

She is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Doris and Robert Hair and Harriet and Robert Fry of Littlefork; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Russell Johns of Bennington.
