PETER A. JOHNSEN DIED TUESDAY

Peter Andreas Johnsen died Tuesday, April 28th at his home in Blair. He was born February 10, 1882 in Omaha and was 82 years old at the time of his death. He was baptized in the Lutheran Faith at First Lutheran Church of Blair. He married Mary Lund, December 2, 1905 in Omaha. They lived on farms at Ft. Calhoun and Bennington, later moving to Kennard. They have made their home at 1333 Nebraska St. in Blair, for the past six years.

He is survived by his wife (Mary), four sons, John and Mathias, both of Omaha; Raymond of Bennington; Vern of Dresser, Wisconsin; three daughters, Mrs. Martin Paulsen (Edna) of Omaha; Mrs. Rudolph Matzen (Gladys) and Mrs. Clarence Wiese (Leona), both of Blair; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hans Staben (Anna), Ft. Calhoun; Mrs. Christina Gilbert, Johnsen City, Tennessee; one brother, Harry Johnsen, Stromsburg, Nebraska.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church with Rev. George Pallesen officiating. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers are: Donald, Glen, Mathias and Harry Lund, Russell Christensen and Clifford Staben.
