VERN C. JOHNSEN, 78

Services for Vern C. Johnsen, 78 of Dresser, Wisconsin, who died at his home October 4, 1993, due to a farm accident were held at Bethesda Lutheran Church Friday, October 8, 1993. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Vern C. Johnsen was born September 20, 1915 at Fort Calhoun, Nebraska to Peter and Mary Johnsen. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith in Omaha and at the time of his death was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church.

He married Violet Misfeldt November 2, 1938 in Blair. They farmed in Nebraska for 12 years before moving to a farm in the Ubet area of Wisconsin in March, 1950. He was actively engaged in farming up to the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Violet; a son and daughter-in –law, Dale and Donna Johnsen of Osceola, Wisconsin; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Mel Truhlsen of Dresser; granddaughters, Pamela Truhlsen of Hudson, Wisconsin; Kristine and her husband Brad Andrewson of Dresser; Jodi Johnsen of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Kellie Johnsen of Madison, Wisconsin; a grandson, Dwayne Truhlsen of St. Louis, Missouri; great-granddaughters, Sarah Andrewson and Cassandra Andrewson; brothers, John and Mathias of Omaha and Raymond of Bennington; sisters, Gladys Matzen and Leonna Wiese, both of Blair; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Arrangements were by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola, Wisconsin.
