JUNE Z. ADAMS, 76

June Zena Adams, 76, of Crane, Mo., died Dec. 3, 2000, at her home.

Funeral services were held Dec. 5, 2000, in the chapel at Manlove, Stumpff Funeral Home in Crane. The Rev. Gregg Boll officiated. Interment was at Crane Community Cemetery.

June Zena Adams was born June 12, 1924, in Weiner, Ark., to Aubrey and Goldia Phillips.

She graduated from Weiner High School in 1942, and during WWII, she worked as a riveter, building B-29s in St. Louis.

In 194, she married Clarence "Ted" Adams in Illinoise. The couple settled in Nebraska, and later moved to Crescent, Iowa, where Mrs. Adams was very active in community activities and the raising of her family.

In 1964, she moved with her family to Fort Calhoun, where she worked at Wilkinson Manufacturing and Immanuel Hospital.

Mrs. Adams enjoyed fishing, needlework, gardening, cooking, and caring for her children. Following retirement, the couple moved to Cape Fair. Just recently, the Adams had moved to Crane, where Mrs. Adams was under the care of Community Hospice of America, until her death following a lengthy battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence "Ted" Adams; two sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Tracy Adams of Reed Springs, and Mike and Penny Adams of Mobridge, S.D., a son, Steve Adams of Moore, Okla.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Calvin Ohrt and Lana and Frank Schafer, all of Fort Calhoun, and Jennifer and John Scott of Goodyear, Ariz.; two sisters, Lou Jean Manojilovich of Newport, Ark., and Della Craft of Jonesboro, Ark.; a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Joyce Phillips of Otwell, Ark; a brother, Wayne Phillips of Weiner, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy, and a grandchild, Angel Dawn Scott.

Manlove-Stumpff Funeral Home was in charge of arrangments.
