Arthur Merrill Johnson died at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair on Thursday, March 16, at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 24 days.

He was born to the late Martin and Elsie Johnson on May 20, 1896 on a farm southwest of Herman, Nebraska. He lived and farmed there until 1945 when he moved to Blair because of failing health. He became a resident of the Good Shepherd Home in July, 1964.

He was a member of Landmark Lodge No. 222 in Herman for 49 years.

One sister, Mabel Iverson, six nieces and one nephew survive. A brother, Lloyd, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday, march 18, at 2:00 P.M. from the First Lutheran Church in Blair, and interment was at the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joe Fitch, Merle Ward, Russell Ward, Allan Iverson, George Osmera and Raymond Christensen.

The Campbell Mortuary was in charge.

A.E. JOHNSON DIED THURSDAY, SERVICES SATURDAY

Funeral services were held Saturday for Arthur Merrill Johnson, 70 years of age, who died Thursday evening.

The services were held at the First Lutheran Church, the Rev. George Pallesen officiating with interment in the Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson, who was born in Herman May 20, 1896 and was a retired farmer, in survived by a sister, Mrs. Ted Iverson of Herman, six nieces and one nephew.

Pallbearers were Allen Iverson, George Fitch, George Osmera, Raymond Christensen, Merle Ward and Russell Ward.

Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
