CURTIS N. JOHNSON FUNERAL NOV. 17th

Mr. Curtis Neale Johnson passed away at the Veteran’s Hospital in Omaha, Wednesday, November 14th, where he had been confined since the 8th of March.

He was born August 20, 1919 to Mr. and Mrs. August Johnson and served in World War II and was married to Lorraine Jones on November 15, 1942.

Mr. Johnson and his wife were the parents of three children, Curtis Neal, Jr., Roger Lee and Elaine Darlene, all at home. He was employed by the C. & N.W. Railroad.

Besides his wife and three children, he is survived by four brothers, Clifford Johnson of Omaha, Clyde Johnson of Blair, Carol Johnson of Lyons, Cameron (Jack) Johnson of Oakland and two sisters, Mrs. Virginia McCormick of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Miss Vivien Johnson of Washington, D.C.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17th at the Methodist Church at 2 o’clock. The Rev. Dale Westadt will officiate. The Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements and burial will be in the Blair Cemetery following a Military Service.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Jones and Russ Jones of Fort Calhoun, Herbert Jones, Jr., Ronald Stork, Richard Johnson and Gene Thomas.

Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Johnson attended funeral services in the Blair Methodist Church for his brother, Curtis Neale Johnson, 43, who died Nov. 14 at Veterans Hospital in Omaha following a lingering illness. Also attending were an uncle and aunt, Hans Larsen and Miss Julia Larsen. Mr. Johnson formerly lived east of Oakland and was the son of the late August and Carrie Larsen Johnson.

Surviving are his wife and two sons, Curtis Neale, Jr., and Roger Lee and a daughter, Elaine; four brothers, Clifford of Omaha, Clyde of Blair, Carroll of Bancroft and Cameron of Swaburg; and two sisters, Mrs. Sandy McCormick (Virginia) of Minneapolis, Minn., and WAC Sergeant Vivian Johnson of Washington, D.C.
