DENVER JOHNSON, 82 2/2/1915 – 6/24/1997

Denver Johnson, 82, of Fremont died Tuesday, June 24, 1997, in Valley.

A Masonic memorial service was held Saturday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, Okla. Johnson was born Feb. 2, 1915 in Osgood, Mo. to Clarence R. and Delilah (Glidewell) Johnson. He grew up at Chillicothe, Mo. and lived at St. Joseph, Mo. before moving to the Arlington and Fremont area in 1954. He was a truck driver and dispatcher for Bell Creek, Inc. at Arlington and had also worked as a dispatcher for Hunt Transportation in Omaha. On June 28, 1942, at Los Angeles, Calif., he married Dorothy Flick.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont; Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 52 A.F. & A.M. of Arlington; the Scottish Rite and Tangier Shrine Temple in Omaha.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy; sons, Darwin Johnson, Dennis Johnson and Denver Johnson; daughters, Dawna Imus and Deanna Seals; brothers, Claude Johnson of Fremont; James Johnson of Chico, Calif. and Kenneth Johnson of Tennessee; a sister, Marjorie Worth of Excelsior Springs, Mo. and Mae Rucker of Kent, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons; three brothers and two sisters.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
