DOROTHY JOHNSON DIES IN BLAIR MONDAY NIGHT
Dorothy D. Johnson of Fremont passed away Monday night, July 18, 1988, at Crowell Home in Blair at the age of 68.
She had been ill with cancer for some time. She was born and raised at Blair. She lived in Tekamah from 1939 to 1944. She came to Fremont in 1944.
She married Harold G. Johnson on Christmas in 1939 at Blair. He died December 28, 1967.
She had been a registered nurse before her marriage. After her husband’s death she was dietician at Arbor Manor in Fremont for several years. She was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Fremont for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Gilbert of Fremont and Gary of Dallas, TX. Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Rodney (Gayle) Olsen of Kennard; a sister, Mrs. Keith (Delores) Patton of Newbury Park, CA; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. One cousin, S.W. Chambers of Blair also survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Mona (Chambers) Deets and her husband, Harold.
Services will be Thursday, July 21 at 2 p.m. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Ronald Wiley of St. James Episcopal Church of Fremont will officiate. Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery in Fremont after the service.
Visitation is in progress at Moser Memorial Chapel.
