Ethel M. Rogers, 77

Ethel M. Rogers, 77, of Cedar Bluffs, died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Ethel M. Kuhr was born May 23, 1933, on a farm near Orum to Arthur and Della (Braach) Kuhr. She grew up on the farm and graduated from Blair High School.

On Nov. 15, 1950, she married Lyle C. Rogers at Blair. The couple moved to Fremont and, in 1960, they moved to a farm near Cedar Bluffs.

Mrs. Rogers had previously been employed at Farmers Mutual Insurance Company in Wahoo for several years.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle; three sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Renae Rogers of Fremont, Kenneth and Diane Rogers of Woodcliff, and Vaughn Rogers of Cedar Bluffs; daughter, Jennifer Rogers, also of Cedar Bluffs; three grandchildren, Brock Rogers, stationed in Iraq, and his wife, Deanna; Amy and husband Travis Sund, and Kelsie Rogers, all of Fremont; great-grandchild, Mya Sund of Fremont.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Ethel Mae Rogers, 77, of Cedar Bluffs died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

She was born May 23, 1933, to Arthur and Della (Braack) Kuhr on a farm near Orum, where she grew up. She was a Blair High School graduate. She married Lyle C. Rogers on November 15, 1950 at Blair. The couple moved to Fremont. In 1960, they moved to a farm near Cedar Bluffs. She previously had been employed at Farmers Mutual Insurance company at Wahoo for several years.

Survivors include: her husband, Lyle; three sons, Rodney and wife Ranae Rogers of Fremont, Kenneth and wife, Diane Rogers of Woodcliff and Vaughn Rogers of Cedar Bluffs; a daughter, Jennifer Rogers of Cedar Bluffs; three grandchildren, Brock and wife Deanna Rogers, stationed in Germany, while Brock is serving deployment in Iraq, Amy and husband, Travis Sund and Kelsie Rogers, all of Fremont; three step-grandchildren, Dawn and husband Matt Updike of Fremont, Donna and husband, Dax Daubert of Cedar Bluffs and Regina and husband, Jeff Wagner of Fremont; great grandchild, Mya Mae Sund of Fremont; and five step great grandchildren, Evan and Andrew Updike of Fremont, Drake Daubert of Cedar Bluffs and Owen and Mia Wagner of Fremont.

Private family services will be held at a later date. There will be a book signing from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with family receiving friends from 6-8 pm, all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs.
