HAROLD E. JOHNSON DIED SUDDENLY THURSDAY AFTERNOON

FARM BUREAU INSURANCE SALESMAN WAS WIDELY KNOWN HERE

Harold E. Johnson, well known representative of the insurance division of the Washington County Farm Bureau, died suddenly at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair Thursday noon. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

He had arisen as usual Thursday morning but did not feel well and was suffering pains in his chest. About 8:30 the Blair Rescue Squad was called to take him to the Blair Hospital for treatment. His condition was pronounced as serious and he was placed in the intensive care unit of the hospital. Death came about 1:30 p.m.

He came to the Blair area more than ten years ago and has been associated with the Washington County Farm Bureau all of the time he has lived here. He has specialized in the sale of farm Bureau Insurance and has been one of the most successful salesmen the area has had.

Lynn, who has been very active in many school affairs, was to give the Challenge Address at the Commencement. Although Lynn attended the graduation, his address was given by a classmate, Tom Macholan.

There are three daughters: Kay Mari, Julie Ann and Merrie Jo. All are living at home. Also surviving are four brothers and four sisters. The brothers are: Clarence of Albion, Nebr.; Maynard of Van Nuys, California; Stanley, of Kansas City; and John Henry, of Neligh, Nebraska.
