Margaret Plugge, 82, of Kennard, died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Good Shepherd in Blair.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. Interment will be in the Kennard Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Margaret Mackeprang was born February 17, 1930, at Bloomfield to Jakob and Hulda (Hamann) Mackeprang.

At the age of 5, she moved to Omaha with her parents. She attended school in Omaha and graduated from Irvington High School and then attended Midland College.

She taught school in Omaha, worked for Mutual of Omaha, Johansen Manor in Blair, ran the Kennard Café and retired from the U.S. Post Office after 21 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, William, daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Tom Daly of Kennard, Linda and James Olson of Mineral, Va.; son and daughter- in-law, Tom and Tina Plugge of California, Mo.; five grandchildren, Douglas Olson, Sonja Schettler, T.W. Plugge, Thomas and Joshua Daly, 12 great-grandchildren; numerous step great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Thelma and John Rix of Clearwater.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, William Edward Daly; great- grandson, William Thomas Daly; brothers, Carl and Duane Mackeprang; and one sister, Agnes Sass.

Memorials may be directed to the Kennard Fire Department or Emmaus Lutheran Church.
